Hello everybody, it's Katie Jones!
Long time, no see. You may have noticed that there hasn’t been much blogging from me lately. I am really sorry but I hope that you guys can respect that I put my personal life above this blog. I haven't been in the mood to write because of all the things that has happened the last week, but I hope that is something you will understand.
Many of you may already have read about the river accident that happened last week in the York river, and heard about the 29-year-old man that drowned. The man that drowned was my beloved neighbour, Steven. He was out with his friends that night and I'm not really sure about how he drowned, but it's terrible. The last week has been tough both for me, my family, his family and also our neighbourhood.
Steven really was my favourite person in the whole world while I was growing up. I think we spent time with each other almost every day of our childhood, even though he was older than me. He was like an extra brother and we had a really strong bond. He had a heart of gold and I miss him so much. It's unbelievable that he is gone.
His mother has begun to raise money to pay for his funeral and I have helped her as much as I could. The funeral will be an open service at St Peter’s Church next Wednesday, and I hope as many of you will donate some money to his family to help them pay for the funeral. Always remember to take care of the ones around you; you never know how long it will last.
This is so sad to read, what a tragedy!
SvarSlettMy deepest condolences to you, your family and friends <3
I'm deeply sorry for your loss. In fact, I'll donate some money help with the funeral. Even though, these are sad times, I hope I'll get to meet everyone in the funeral.
SvarSlettAgain, deeply sorry for your loss, take care.
Oh no! It is always so incredibly sad when young people die. Please receive my warm thoughts and love.
