Today I want to tell you about something that happened 27th April. It’s probably the scariest incident that’s ever happened to me, therefore I needed some time to think before I could tell you about it. You can read about it on Derry Daily here.
On Saturday 27th April, I took a walk at the Craigavon Bridge. Suddenly I saw a woman standing on top of the bridge. I didn’t manage to react before she jumped into the River Foyle. I picked up my phone as fast as I could, and called 999. I was in shock, and ran to the place she jumped from. My heart pounded so fast, I thought it would jump out of my body! It took only a few minutes before Police, Fire Service, Ambulance, and Foyle Search and Rescue were on site, however, it felt like an eternity. They were quick to save the woman, and I was so relieved when they picked her up from the river.
I love all my readers, and I don’t want any of you to feel like you can’t live anymore. If you need help, please call any of these numbers. Remember that you are not alone, and there are plenty of people willing to listen.

I am so sorry, to witness someone try to take their own life is horrible. Still thanks to you the woman ended up getting saved by the police. You were really quick to react which decided that woman's fate. Thank god she survived. I think it is marvellous how you spread awareness suicide hotlines and write about this situation. Know that you are a hero <3.
